Where is Dragon Dale & Vesper Landing

Postby meyercr2003 » Wed Apr 21, 2004 1:12 am

I've been playing a bit on the Vast during the past couple of weeks and am enjoying the limited time I've been able to log on ...

My characters, on the other hand ... well ... any more characters end up on the fugue plane and I'll start naming all the new ones Bach.

Great server, great community of players, etc.

So ... the question is:

"Where exactly in the Vast is Dragon Dale, Vesper Landing, etc.?" ... no reference to them in any of the materials I have.

If I were to guess, I'd say somewhere between lines north of Thindilar and Sendrin.

Can anyone help on this or provide references, etc.?

Thanks ...

River Vesper Landing... well, obviously is located next to River Vesper (that as far as I know, runs horizontally over the northern part of the Vast)

but yes... I haven't been able to find any references as well...

You will not find any references to them, they are an unique invention. The Landing has been placed upriver from Calaunt, but still downriver from Viperstongue Ford.
Please see http://www.nwnthevast.net for server information, guidelines, rules, and lore.

I'm sure that I read something a while ago that mentioned the distance between the Landing and Calaunt as well as how far north the Dale is from the Landing (about 9 miles I think)

I've had a quick look around the faqs that are on here but I can't find any numbers, so they're probably in one of the in game books with server info type stuff.

However, I may well be thinking of something else and be completely wrong

So ... approximately here?

Postby meyercr2003 » Wed Apr 21, 2004 1:57 pm

NE of Calaunt along the river
Before the Vesper doglegs back to the south?

Also ... another annoying question?

"When is Dagger Dale, Vesper Landing?"

Approximate DR of current year?

Thanks,
Try using this map to find the area in which the server is set. The entire area is a tiny dot on the map, so even if Dragon Dale wasn't an invention (and everyone loves creative inventions!), I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't show up on the less-detailed current map of Faerûn or in the FRCS.

i have a more legitimate need to play Mellony less often now. Procampur is a LOT farther than i had though originally...
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of all who threaten, annoy, or spam it it.

A couple hundred miles, maybe. A young, fairly experienced hiker who doesn't meet too much trouble could make it in three weeks, I expect.
