Actualy, I do not think this is more of a Server lagging issure more than a possible bug with changing a sheild's look. What you describe is "VERY" similar to what happens with changing the look of boots, and it is likely they happen for both the exact same reason, The script doesn't correctly change it.

Its a bug in the script, happened to me various times. To my knowledge a DM can not give you a made shield that can be customized, you must get the materials and remake it.

In my experience with this problem, the key is not to try and reverse cycle through the options. As long as I'm going forward, everything is cool. Try and back up="Oh Crap!" moment.<br>

Yes, but I believe the DM will have to go through the process of crafting it themselves then finidng the look the player wanted then giving it to the player..<br>

Its a DM call wether they will do it or not.

There's an integer that can be set, in game, on the item to allow a free recrafting.

well, I can live with it. I know the DM team is busy, and it's closer to the look I wanted then the last time, plus, I can always make a new one later <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :( --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":("><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> again. but the wife said it wasn't that bad of a look, so I'm sorry to have bothered everyone about this.<br>

When you craft a wool cloak, it never asks if you want to make a masterwork version. I have not tried to craft many cloaks, so I don't know if this is related to the recent bioware patch.

This is stretching my mind back a fair bit to when I was still doing tailoring with a character. But I think in order to make the MW cloak you need to buy the fancy stuff for cloaks (fur linings metal trim etc) and that when you have those items the option will be granted to make a MW. I could be 100% mistaken on this but I'm pretty sure that is a part of the process of making MW for tailored things.

You could be right Drach. I will have to break down and download Vulcano's test mod and figure some of this stuff out. Not a big issue right now, but with the cloaks being visible now, I am sure it will come up eventually.

Okay, I checked Vulcano's test module, and there is a masterwork cloak. You just need to combine the proper components. Thanks Drach. Please disregard my initial post.

I do recall needing fur and inlay for a mw cloak. Hold off on making one though, we are going through the appearnaces of all the cloaks now that they have appearances.

Not sure if this is a bug now, since it might be caused by the last patch.

Quarterstaffs don't show as weapons when you open the crafting menu to alter the look anymore. It simply gives the other options, not weapon-crafting (and the quarterstaff was equipped while trying:) )

Any thoughts on this? The patch?
