Character Portraits - Download Links

Post by Algernon's Ghost »

If you're using a custom portrait set, please feel free to put a link here to download with any details about the file name you wish to include so we can all see your face.

If you wish, I will add your portrait set to the Vast-Specific set as outlined in the next post.
Please see http://www.nwnthevast.net for server information, guidelines, rules, and lore.

Vast-Specific Hosted Portraits

Post by Algernon's Ghost »

I put together a folder for download with a few of the portraits I had that are being used by active characters on The Vast.

You can download the zipped folder here:

www.nwnthevast.net/PortraitsOfTheVast.zip

Instructions:
Copy all included .tga image files to the Portraits folder in your NWN installation folder.

Each portrait includes five versions, which are different sizes. You need to include all five for each portrait you want to see. They have the letter suffixes of "H, L, M, S, T"; do not change these suffixes or they will not work properly.

You can update your character to a new portrait by giving the new files the same set of names as the old ones and replacing them. This only works if you used custom portrait file names at character creation. Rebuilds may be requested if you want to set up a custom named portrait.

Custom Portrait at Character Creation:
If you rename your portrait files (keeping the letter suffixes as outlined above) and place them in your NWN/Portraits folder before you create your character, then you will have a set of uniquely named portraits. Then, if you wish to change your portrait later, you may simply rename a different portrait set and replace your current set with the new one. You can easily offer the new portrait set to others as a download so they can see your new look too.

If you'd like to have your portraits included in this portrait kit, please PM me here on the forums.

Characters Currently Included (file name ending in one suffix example):
Keldorn Battlehammer (M_AbbatH)
Corvus Gwynstradd'ae (corvus_h)
Keth'ryl Lythar (Amirsyl_H)
Julisette Morena (julisette_H)
Please see http://www.nwnthevast.net for server information, guidelines, rules, and lore.

My portrait is in my signature. For those that care to DL it.
I know it doesn't match too much but it captures his aura.

Driver1740 portraits.

Think the protocol is to just leave the link here. Figured if custom portraits are supported I might as well take advantage and use them. I'll put links here for my characters on this post.

They are pretty simple, just screen shots of the game run through a visual filter.
