Well, there is a very slight chance you might disturb a creature of the depths....

Ooh...penguins. There should definately be a penguin in the Vast. It's the perfect climate.

that is excellent news. I've always wanted to just sit down at a lake or something and fish. Dragon Dale has that nice lake... I wonder if it will be populated at all.

On another note, I am looking foward to whatever other crafting systems get put in place in the future. I'd really like to take on a trade of some kind. As it is now, you can't really succeed as a merchant. I've seen a few new players jump on, calling themselves merchants from Calisham and the like, and while it was interesting to see, unfortunate Ralbon had the entire line of available business covered. You can't really out-do Ralbon at anything right now. Hopefully players can have "crafting" skills that would be unique among PC players. I doubt fishing will be monumental, but it's a good first step. hopefully people can locate more exotic fish based on the skill and location.

We had a merchant character on here, some months back, who was doing extremely well. Unfortunately, he was slaughtered in the streets of the Dale, and I was unable to discover who did the killing. If the player who did this character still plays here: you had a good thing going.
How to fish...

Post by Algernon's Ghost »

You have to find a "fishing hole". Look for a blue trigger - just like the BW area transtion triggers - along the edge of a watery place. Right now, there are not that many fishing triggers placed yet. You will have to find the "good fishing holes".

Once you find a fishing hole, equip your pole, walk up to the trigger, and click on it, the rest happens automatically.

I'll clue you in to one fishing location: check the docks in RVL. There are at least 6 other spots currently set up.
