I haven't looked at it yet, did you notice if this is all public domain material? If it is, we may consider hosting some of it through our own website.

I know that WOTC has a bunch of stuff that is downloadable as pdf's that is I am pretty sure public domain. I'll look into it and see what I can fish up, when training calms down (hopefully) in the next day or two.

I'm not sure if its 2ed or 3ed or 3.5ed ( though I think its third) but it seems to have just about everything in pure text forms.

Lemme fiind it again and double check on public domain then I'll get with the crazy linking :)

WOTC has got a bunch of both...Most is old TSR out of print stuff though available for download...The newer stuff is mostly errata or articles like the old 'Dragon' magazine format.

Well, first what you do is click on the book you want on the left hand side. Next you want for the page to load. When the title of the book you wanted to read appears on the left hand side with a cross in front of it, click on the title and it will expand with enough information to blow your mind. :)

As for the information itself, very very cool. I spent hours reading over everything that had to do with wizards and magic, even if the information might be a tad out of date.

I never realized that meterial components used to play such a big role in spellcasting. Not to mention that the information on some of the spells gives alittle cool background into the mage who invented it... Ahhh Kerith's Legacy :D

okay, that's my problem. i click a title, but when the title appears left-handed, all options i have that will do anything, is clicking the main page. the title does zip, nada, riente, nothing. the cursor turns to a cross, with no options to it :(

Most of the stuff from the early days of AD&D is carried over into the current editions. Highly notable changes would be the skill point and feat system, clerical domains, and some technical class changes. More spells were also added over time. The majority of the basic information is pretty much the same.

One area where I think they made a mistake was in blurring the lines too much between casters. There used to be a greater difference between the spell selections available to the various classes. Now it seems like clerics get just about everything. A system in which a cleric's entire available spell list is based on his chosen domains would have been pretty cool. But, I digress.

Let me just add in my opinion that this is a very nice collection of information, especially for people like me who have had little to no experience with PnP. I've read the section on paladins, and it expands very nicely what I've read on the Vast website. I found the parts about the paladin's personality interesting. There's a courtly side that I had really thought about, though I suppose the frontier aspect of this gameworld might diminish its importance.

Still, maybe we should attempt to hold a ball or gala at some point. We just need a suitable occasion...maybe in conjunction with the street fair.

Oh yes...I found the information on dwarves, halflings, elves, etc., but didn't see the book on humans. A grievous oversight, it seems.

Having really grown up on AD&D, it's still my preferred edition of the game, so it's great to have this resource at the ready.
The Complete Handbooks were excellent when they were released way back when, and they still are. Even though the kits no exist in 3E, they are an excellent source of ideas for building a character of a certain class, and really shows that no two characters of the same class need be the same.

I guess I should of posted what I said earlier here.. owell...

I quoteth thyself..

I'm not sure if this is just me or not... but it seems the link to ADD does not seem to work anymore... however, if its not just me... using the almighty power of the WayBack Machine! I present... http://web.archive.org/web/200410212203 ... /CoreRule/
So now... even if it fails to ever return... we can still access the data! Warning: The WayBack Machine is very very slow.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately the individual pages show up as "page not found", at least in the Paladin section of the site.

(I knew I should have cut-and-pasted those pages).

Dlabraddath: A celebration of the godly races

i found this link when i was talking to one of the BG DMs about erf files and innate toolset Questions i had.

http://myth-drannor.net/DlabraddathNet/ ... flings.htm
Elflings

well, Millia, Ginnia and robin might not be Elflings (and probably not as far back as Akania's linage, either) but it explains alot about how i play Millia especially... :D

Regardless, it looks to be a wonderful sight for ideas and insperations...

Thank Zakharra for this one...
