The confrontation of Lucias and Isendyl on the slopes of the Vesper Marshes.
As seen from Isendyl's perspective (figuratively and literally

)
Aside from the poor job on her staff I am pretty happy with the shading. I want to thank Atra and TheONEBC and everybody else who posts, studying your work has helped me get alot better myself.
Also my first attempt to draw a male character in quite a while. All in all I'm prety pleased with it, though it makes me wish I had a better scanner ;/
(p.s. sorry atra about his somewhat lopsided eyes)
enjoy!

Er... Hmm... It's a nice drawing Dracharla. I love Isendy's hair! I'm not worried about
her staff at all.

Just a quick doodle I did at work and scribbled over with colored pencils and a den last night. Nev looks on as two of his friends stare each other down. IC they really don't like each other much. Got permission from their players a few weeks ago and would like to hear from them what they think of my take on their characters. Lemme know if you can guess who they are.

recently at the ranger camp, there was a group of adventurers relating a tale of their journey through goblin lands (I can't remember all the names, since I'd never met 3 of them before, so I won't mention any of them except the subject of the drawing, and since I forgot to save the log, I'll have to improvise on the "script"). during this conversation, Isendyl had been munching on a loaf of bread while keeping a bit away from the campfire. Isen is being her usual quiet self, listening to the various talkers, when the subject of hobgoblins is mentioned:
*scratches his chin in thought for a few moments, his face a bit serious* "Hobgoblins have been seen in those lands before, you know."
*gives a slight snod and a shrug* "Yes, well, we didn't see any this time."
*Isendyl speaks with a mouth full of bread crumbs spewing forth like an erupting volcano* "Anf bweff du gawdfs fur daffb!"
the way it came through in-game, I caught a perfect mental picture of Isen, and this is what it turned out looking like on paper. (updated with scanned version)

This is keldorn with a freind. Those that know Kel, know the axe itself is not the freind. *wink*

In order left form right Quinn Isendyl Willem and Matijandra.
The woodsfolk moving quietly through the twisted tree's of the Torg.
I tried to capture the myriad ways a ranger might be unseen (a shame we can't actually climb trees in game!) and also illustrate the blending properties of the elven cloaks when they are used. I esp like how Mati's cloak goes from bark to leaves.. but anyways. I inverted the colors because I don't know it just made the whole thing seem to pop a little more and also how it made it all seem to be more shadowy etc. anyways enjoy!

good texturing and poses Dracharla, keep it up!
Is that Corel Painter or what? Do you use a drawing tablet (a pen and tablet peripheral) or do you scan it in first?
Edit: I'm feeling those trees too...that one Mati's hiding behind looks like it could attack at any moment

yeaeah I tried to make the trees (especially the ones I did all of the bark on) look old, twisted and a bit menacing. Thats also part of why I didn't do any twigging or add foilage (that and it would have added about 2 weeks... the leaves on the ground were painful enough!) I think it helps give the Torg a kind of sinister bent to it. I'm really happy with the poses. I kind of stole Quinn's from that picture of Isendyl Clock did a while back and I like the way Matijandra is kneeling with her cloak spilled around her. esp the way it changes form bark to leaves. I really like the way Isendyl is posed, wish I could have gone into more detail in shading on her but what can ya do?
as far as what I used, I just did number 2 pencils and printer paper (I did this at work over hte last few days during some down time) then scanned and inverted the colors.
I wasn't sure the way I did the tree bark would turn out, that it would look like scales, but I have to admit I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out. it looks crackled and gnarled. next time I may try to make each little squiggle a bit more rectangular and also shade some of them to create more shadow and relief.
anyways enough babbling. I've alo tmore drawings to do!
