Physical Description-
Standing at exactly three feet tall, this young hin always wears a warm smile on her face. She has blue eyes, that are constantly on the move, absorbing everything around her with eager, yet not foolish, curiosity. She has shoulder length hair, a light shade of brown, and under the correct lighting conditions a fair bit of red can be seen mixed in.
She carries a number of bags that bounce around out of control when she runs. A scabbard on the center of her back contains a short sword with a beautifully ornate pommel, but obviously does not see much use. Around her neck hangs a small medallion depicting a cornucopia on a shield, the holy symbol of Yondalla, the Nurturing Matriarch. The amulet is always on top of whatever she is wearing, and displayed proudly.

Background-
Born in Luiren, in the city of Beluir, to the strongheart hin Marty and Renee Froggidy 26 years ago. Her parents, both very young and newlywed, could not afford a child and left her with the monks and priests at the high temple of Yondalla. Here she remained for the first half of her life.
As she got older, she was taught the value of family and of the hin folk by the priests, and the martial arts from the monks of the Hin Fist. The older she got, the more her resentment grew. Her family left her, to be taught the value of family. She could not understand why, and thus she grew disruptive to and resentful of the hin who raised her. On her 16th birthday, she snuck from the church and left Beluir, with the sole intent on finding her birthparents and getting some answers from them.
Three years spent wandering the lands of Luiren with no luck of finding her birthparents, the only thing she had was the teachings she grew up with.
One day while she was skirting the Lluirwood, a young hin leapt out of the bushes and demanded she hand over her belongings. She stopped and looked at this young hin for a moment, she could see the nervousness in his features, and instead of giving up her money, she drew her sword and fought the hin. Quickly, she defeated him, her blade slashing across his stomach, and the young man dropped to the ground, dying. The scene disgusted her, so she did all she could to bandage up his injuries, but the bleeding would not stop. In desperation, she turned back to Yondalla, pleading for help. Suddenly as the fight started, her hands began to glow with a celestial brilliance and the young hin’s injuries closed up, leaving him unharmed. Merenay's eyes welled up and she began to cry, thanking Yondalla. The young hin she had fought and healed lay baffled upon the ground, staring up at the woman who had just both defeated him and saved his life. He picked himself up from the ground and stepped back, unsure of what to do next. After a moment, he shrugged and introduced himself as Arty, his village and family living just inside the forest. He apologized for attacking Merenay and explained the situation in his village, and then invited her to come rest for the evening. Weary of travel and combat, and overwhelmed by her new found path, she accepted and followed the hin to the village.
They trekked through the woods for a short while before entering a small opening, revealing a tightly knit cluster of small homes, a place that would be very difficult to find even if you knew where to look. Arty led Merenay to his home and welcomed her in. He introduced his parents and turned to look at Merenay.
"I'm afraid I never got your name, miss..." he asked, looking to her.
"Merenay...Merenay of Yondalla." she replied. Arty's parents nearly fell from their seats in astonishment.
"Merenay, welcome home! WE are your parents!" They both leapt up and embraced her, and there was not a dry eye in the house for some time...
Later that night, after a long, large dinner and party, Merenay went outside alone, looking up towards the sky. She knew deep down inside that it was no chance that brought them together, that it was Yondalla, bringing the family together, answering all her questions. She smiled up at the sky and from that moment on has been devoted body and soul to Yondalla. She made a vow that night, to always remain faithful to Yondalla, and to somehow repay the monks and priests back home for raising her, trying to teach her and receiving nothing but resentment for their efforts...
Motivations and Goals-
Merenay seeks to be a protector of those who need protecting, as well as a teacher and spreader of the word of Yondalla. She seeks to learn what the monks back at the High Temple of Yondalla wished to teach her. She has a fondness for all hin, and especially attaches herself to any hin who she thinks have strayed from the light, trying to redeem them and guide them back to a good life.
While dining with her parents, she learned she had an even younger brother who had either been kidnapped and/or run off with a band of feral ghostwise hin who pay worship to Malar. She only knew that they left Luiren, but not where to. She seeks her younger brother to this day.
