Appropriate animal companions for the region

[tenshiglen]

I was asked IG/OOC by someone whether panthers were appropriate animal companions for the Vast region. I didn’t know off-hand and said I’d check it out for them. Well… I failed. I’m posting this request after EXTENSIVE online research as I don’t have the relative sourcebooks. Could someone with access to this regional information be so kind as to post it here? Thanks.
And if this is found on The Vast webpage, oops... I swear I looked there too.
