Just thought I would give my official hello on the boards. I just started playing on the Vast about three days ago and I must say I am very impressed. While my NWN experience is large, I had not found an online home, but I think that may have just changed <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D"> 
 
My current character (minus the one rotting in the Fudge, it really is dangerous out there) is Ganyja the Strongheart Hin Rogue/Fighter of Tymora, and over the last three days I have had wonderful experiences and adventures with quite a variety of players. While I am not as expereinced a RPer as those around me (probably need to pick some of the source material to keep up) I will try to keep up the best I can through listening and learning which has worked well so far. 
 
I will not be around for the next week however, but I shall return to stalk gobbies in the Fulgore <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smokin.gif ALT=":smokin">

That really sucks that Ganyja is dead now, Pera was thrilled to have another Luiren Hin around. Welcome to the server, you will have a good time :o)

And yes, studying others RP is a great way to improve so just keep it up, I guess a lot of us sucked when we started out!

Jax ad a great time with Ganj yesterday, the hunt then the dirty talk at the bar with Rubens. 
 
Do not worry too much about background (Jax is 100% invented but Daggerfall city.). Feel your PC and go forward. (this is RP). 
As for source, yes there are very good sources. 
The only thing the site could have in the roleplay resource of lore of the vast is a link to a map not only of the vast but a greater portion of Faerun.

Ah good, another person that appreciates the settings of this server. I see you're getting as hooked as I did, and most everyone else on this board. 
 
I haven't been on lately to meet your character yet, but come Sunday I should be back to destroy my RL future playing Zato. 
 
Plus, having more people who enjoy playing hin characters is always a much welcome addition. Watch out for the enemies though... they're lethal no matter what level you find yourself at.
