IMHO:
Couple of points to consider:
I was also thinking of this and I had few pm's with AG in the past about a promotion thread but it was put off due to AG's implementation of haks, TLC to the mod, etc. No harm done Atra but I think there are some further things that should be included in a promo post:

In no particular order, just a few off the top of my head:

1. What does the server want to do for the players
2. What can a player expect and what sort of player to target
3. List of all the systems and any that are unique to the Vast
4. Many Screenshots or at least a link to a gallery
5. Emphasis on quality over quantity
6. DM experience

I'm sure there's more we can come up with.

To me, there is no doubt that all of us here already know that The Vast is a worthwhile endeavor that a player can have an exciting adventure, but it's also a place where one can have an adventurers life for as long as that character is relevant to you.
I still think we are very light on quests, I think most people will make a decision to stay or leave any server
somewhere between level 2-3. Anyone new to the vast will quickly tire of spices and cheese without DM interaction.

Is this a new bioware forum? Will my login in from '05 work? I tried logging in with it with no success. I couldn't find a request password feature either.
