Cauan Se'tros

Post by driver_1740 »

Cauan is a tall moon elf from Evereska. He is fairly young (in the years of an elf) and speaks in a slow calm voice. He is a priest of Solonor Thelandira.

Cauan's Parents are furniture merchants in Evereska. His father, Tu'cam'n, once in his youth was on a hunting expedition with some more adventurous friends of his. They were attacked by Orc raiders and were nearly all killed. Tu'cum'n and the only three survivors were left beaten and half dead and starving. They asked intervention on behalf of the Solonor Thelandira and miraculously the avatar of the god appeared slaying a large stag for them to have sustenance enough to survive the ordeal. Upon returning home, Tu'cam'n made a solemn oath his first child would be devoted to the elven deity who was responsible for his survival. Cauan's mother, Bac'triess was hesitant to relinquish her first son. However, when the elfling was still an infant Solonor's High priest,Naiindir, knocked on the door of the elven family and made it clear that Tu'cam'n's promise was to be kept. For her sacrifice, Bac'triess was blessed with twins two times over leaving Cauan with four siblings. Arrangements were made for Cauan to stay with the couple until mid childhood. During this time he learned a bit of furniture making in the elven style from his father. His mother was careful to not become too attached to him, which left the young elf pensive which helped him develop wisdom at an early age, though not without sacrificing much of his early happiness.

Much of Cauan's life from that time forward was spent at Moondark Hill. He was raised by an order of Solonor's priests and indoctrinated at an early age. He learned the basics of the art of war, with a focus on the use of the bow including the construction and care of the weapon. When he reached sufficient understanding he was initiated as an acolyte in the priesthood.

Soon after this, Cauan was invited to accompany Naiindir in an excursion to the north. It was to be a two year endeavor and really a great opportunity for the young Elf. The trip north was relatively uneventful until the party of elves met a caravan traveling across the Black Road in need of assistance. They had been robbed and many of their guards and merchants had been murdered or injured. Naiindir took pity on them and allowed Cauan to accompany the group to see them to their destination. Cauan was charged to go into the world of men to learn and do what he could to promote the tenets of his faith. From the black road he traveled eastward until his path lead him to the small town of Dragon Dale in the vast.
