In the quiet hours of predawn

Post by Timgood1 »

The large half-orc wanderer approaches the western gate area, carrying the body of a human he found in the fields to the west. He pauses just out of sight of the gate and quietly lays him down for others of the village to find. Knowing the village's disposition towards those of his kind and to him in particular when he makes his short visits to trade, he knew there would be questions and likely accusations he'd rather avoid. As he sets the body down, he then places the man's holy symbol on top of his chest before turning and disappearing into the morning mists.

An old man, just now learning the arcane, steps out the west gate and finds the corpse of a young man.
He finds a holy necklace next to the body and picks it up. The west gates are open, he wonders how the young man was caught and killed so close to the gates and safety. There are no other possessions. Are the goblins becoming bolder? It is all he can do to lift the body, his strength is waning in his elder years. He carries the body to the cemetery and places it next to an open grave, expecting Bill will finish the burial. He ponder what to do with the amulet, certainly someone will treasure it.

Within two days of each other a body of an elf was discovered just inside of Dragon Dale by the gate that leads to the swamps and another just out of sight of the western gate. both bodies lack any possessions saved for the tattered clothing they had on. The western gate body had piercing wounds with a discoloration around them, and the elven body appeared to have partially devoured by what might appear to be very sharp and pointed teeth. No one has stepped forward to claim to have been the ones to have found these bodies.
